New Covenant Church
OUR PASTOR
A graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and Southern Bible Institute & Seminary where she has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Theology & Counseling, In April of 2016 she graduated with a Master of Divinity from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, In. Pastor Dawson began her ministry in 1994 and was licensed to preach the Gospel on July 27, 1995, at New Bethel Baptist Church, ordained in 1998 at New Jerusalem Fellowship Church in Warren, Ohio. She transferred her ordination into the PAW and served at Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church. She answered the pastoral call in 2011 as she began her preparation through St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Summa Health Care by graduating from a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) in Dec 2012. A Prison Ministry “And Justice for All” began in April of 2016 which was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2019. After three additional years of intensive Seminary training Pastor Dawson was led by the Lord to plant a church and became the Senior Pastor of Divine Love Ministries which was birth out of her seminary education and her heart for souls (Divine Love Ministries joined the fellowship with the organization of United Body of Christ Multi-Cultural Ministries under Apostle Melvin Trent in 2016). Through continued outreach efforts and a partnership with New Covenant Church of the Nazarene to develop a summer youth program called “Feed and Seed” during the summer of 2019. Pastor Dawson was called by God to New Covenant and is now advancing the Kingdom of God by serving as Senior Pastor with a focus on outreach. She will be one of the candidates to be ordained into the North East Ohio District on July 25, 2020. Culminating 25 years of Preaching the Gospel.
She is the blessed mother of two wonderful children LaTora and Larry Dawson and proud grandmother of Adonis Stephon; the daughter of Mrs. Rosalind and the late Mr. James Willis. One who loves the power of prayer, reading, studying the Word of God, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family. She is truly grateful for all God has done in her life but she wants you to know that her only true asset is that she is a woman of God who LOVES the LORD! She is saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost and she knows none of this would be possible without God blessing her and directing her Life! To God Be the GLORY
